TL-HT Bushings

SELF-LUBRICATING PLASTIC  BUSHINGS

These bushings are manufactured from plastic high temperature, polymer-based materials that are reinforced with carbon fibers, used as a replacement for metal due to low weight properties, without external lubrication requirement in applications with high mechanical.

 Applications 

This special material design as a replacement for metal due to weight saving properties and eliminating lubrication in applications with high mechanical requirements.

  • Aviation: flight control, landing gear, wheel and braking. 
  • Hydropower Turbines: Wicket gate, Operating Ring, servomotor, guide rings, wear liners, seals…

Product characteristics

The material of LT-HT is resin thermoset , polymer molding compound with chopped carbon fiber reinforcement. It has the highest strength at temperatures over 300°C and is best for lower to moderate speeds and high loads. The technical characteristics are much higher than other casting plastics and don't require any greasing.

Different forms are available with TL-HT Bushing technology: long tube, bushing, ,sliding plates, sheet molding.

Mating shaft

TL- HP Bushing were developed to run without lubrication. Therefore, counter shafts should be treated against corrosion. For optimum performance, a final machined mating surface finish of 0.4 to 0.8 micro-Ra is recommended.
