BAND - MV - Electrical Tape - Self Amalgamating Tape - RUBAN-BLANC
Extreme Duty Self-Amalgamating Insulation Tape – RUBAN-BLANC provides one of the most versatile insulating, waterproofing, splicing, protecting, repairing and bonding solutions available on the market. Once stretched and overlapped the magic begins, as they amalgamate with themselves to deliver a highly flexible and conformable taylored rubber moulding. There are three types of rubber used in the EMAAR self-amalgamating tape range: Silicone, Polyisobutylene (PIB) and Ethylene Propylene (EPR). This helps provide the different product characteristics and properties required to deliver a suitable tape for either specialist or general purpose applications.
Specifications
APPLICATIONS
- For splicing and repair of power cables up to 69kV and the insulation, waterproofing and protection of electrical components.

RECOMMENDATIONS
Care should be taken to avoid direct contact between the tape and petroleum-type solvents and oils. Oils may affect the electrical properties of the tape.
The rolls should be stored flat on their cut edges in the original packaging. The product must be protected from dust, heat, moisture, direct sunlight and solvent fumes. Storage temperature between +10°C and +25°C.
Under these conditions, the storage life of the tape in a temperate climate will be at least five years.
